Meagan's Blessing Luncheon

Meagan is getting married in April! I decided to throw her a blessing Luncheon. I chose The Chocolate Angel in Richardson for her luncheon, which is the CUTEST little tea room.

The invitations (forgive the poor picture quality)

I made home made sugar scrubs for her guests as shower favors

Meagan's wedding will be in burlap and lace so I covered each jar in burlap

We made a blessing tree for people to hang written blessings for the bride and groom along with a monetary gift (if they so desired) for their honeymoon fund.

I love this cute little frame. I actually had this in a different frame but when we arrived that morning to decorate for the shower I went into the store part of the tea room and saw this frame and it was perfect for the look we were going for.

I bought this frame from Swoozie's....also perfect for the occasion!

The shower favors

The tea room was the perfect size for our party. It holds 18 people

Shabby Chic

Mom, me and Chloe (Meagan's youngest)

Me and Hayley (who is also getting married in April and we have her shower in 2 weeks!)

Meagan and Jim's mom Denise and the girls. (Chloe, Alyssa, and Kaitlyn)

We had so much fun!

We had your pump it up party in Dallas today. You had so much fun! We all did!

I love this. Classic. We are all about to go into the big jumping room and they sang the birthday song to you before we went in and true to form you hid behind Maddie :)

At your request a Grave digger cake

Heather and Annabelle

While in Dallas, for Meagan's blessing luncheon, I met up with one of my college room-mates Heather and her new baby girl Annabelle. I have known heather for about 12 years now and always knew she would make such a great mom. It's so special and neat to see old friends become parents and to go through this life transition together. I had not met Annabelle yet because she was born right when we moved to DC last September. I finally was able to meet up her with and and get my hands on that sweet baby! She is precious. I took Audrey with me and they had a nice little chat over lunch.

So fun! I can't wait to get together again and let these girls play!

Hunter is 5!

You are 5. FIVE YEARS OLD! That feels like such a milestone. I cannot believe it's already been 5 years. You are just such a blessing to your daddy and me. You have taught us so much in your short time on earth.

You are so unique and so special. You are empathetic and sensitive and have a such a big heart. You remind me a lot of your dad in that you have a thicker outer shell...only letting a select few really in to the mushy soft center. But once you let people in It's SUCH a privilege to be inside your "inner circle".

You are good as gold, with such a good heart. You are SMART. You are reading small words 3-4 letters. Sounding them out everywhere we go. You love to add and subtract and tell time. You talk about numbers and words all day everywhere we go. You have a thirst for knowledge just like your dad. You love to know little things that most people wouldn't think to ask about. You love to quiz me in Spanish and I am sad to say you already know more Spanish than I do, which you think is pretty funny.

You learned to ride a bike without training wheels a few weeks before your birthday by using your balance bike. You taught yourself! You asked for a big boy bike for your birthday. You are in Tae kwon do 2 days a week and you love going. You love your class at school and when you first started you were so shy about going. You love it now and look forward to it everyday! Your teachers love you and always have good things to say about you. You come home everyday with a smiley face for good behavior and usually 3/5 times a week you get a gold coin for Christ like behavior. You love working on your memory verses and each night during family worship you want to work on the one for that week plus review the weeks before too. You have a great memory!

You are very shy when you first meet people. You hide behind me, daddy or Madison. When you go into your class you walk in behind me with your face hidden and you quickly run over to your seat to start your craft. By the time I walk out of the class and peak through the window you are laughing it up with your friends and are the life of the party. People love you and love getting to know you and once you let them in they are there for life! You tell us your best friend at school is Luca. You both play so well together and you tell us he's a good guy (which means he gets lots of smiley faces haha.

At school today you wanted to take cake pops for all of your classmates to enjoy for your birthday. They sang to you in Chapel and I hid in the back and took pictures and videos. You are just so absolutely precious.

Here you are in the middle with the red birthday hat

You loved that they sang to you but your were bright red with embarrassment! You are too cute for words.

You try so hard to suppress the smile. You try to be serious and keep a straight face but that adorable smile squeaks through :)

For your birthday dinner we went to Gattitown with Dana and Sheila and their grandson Aiden and Ms. Rachel,Ava and Nolan. We ate pizza (your fav) and red velvet cupcakes (your request) and played games and rode go carts. You had a blast!

This weekend we are going to Dallas and we will do your 5th birthday party at Pump it Up. You are really into grave digger right now because daddy took you to your first Monster truck jam a few weeks ago. You asked for a gravedigger cake. We shall see what we can come up with!

I will leave you with this interview. You are too cute for words. I just love you so much!
