Week with Nana

There is nothing quite like having your momma around ESPECIALLY just after having a baby. Mom came down as soon as she got word I was in labor and she was in town a few hours before Audrey was born. Our good friend Sheila Wright bridged the gap with the kids until mom could drive down here from Dallas. Sheila is our Houston mom. She had been up at the church for Ladies Bible study and Hunter and Madison were both up there for Sonshine class (Madison) and school (for Hunter). Sheila brought them home, fed them lunch and put them down for naps and by the time the kids woke up my mom was here!

On Saturday mom and I took Audrey shopping for Easter outfits for the family. We at lunch at our favorite sushi place and then to get frozen yogurt...Audrey's first meal out! It was a fun day of shopping just the 3 of us.

Mom took care of the kids the whole time we were in the hospital and when we came home from the hospital 2 days later it was so nice to have mom around to cook meals, clean the house, do laundry and play with the kids while I caught up on sleep and took care of Audrey. We were well fed and well rested by the time she left the following Monday. It helped our transition so much to have her here. She entertained the older two and gave them tons of attention which helped soften the blow that our (mine and Jordan's) attention was now going to be split a 3rd way. Mom as done this 4 times herself so she definitely knew just what I needed. She spoiled me rotten and prodded me to take naps and relaxing baths and sleep in every morning. Meals were yummy and the house was spotless the whole time she was here. I was pretty sad to see her go, it was so nice to have the extra helping hands and the extra playmate for the kids! We can't thank you enough Nana for giving up a week to come help us through this transition. There is nothing quite like having momma here!
