New York City

Our trip to New York was amazing and better than I could have hoped for. My wonderful inlaws were awesome in planning out the weekend and taking me to all the "must see" places. I don't think we could have fit in one more thing into the weekend. It was so much fun. We left Dallas late Thursday night and got to our hotel, Intercontinental Barclay around 2am.

Friday morning we took a cab over to Little Italy and we walked around to all the shops in Little Italy, Chinatown and Soho. We grabbed a mid-day starbucks, as we were all struggling to stay awake after such little amount of sleep. Then we headed over to Radio city music hall to see the matinee Rockettes Christmas show.
It definitely lived up to its reputation
We knew it would be a late night since we were planning on seeing the 8:00pm showing of Jersey boys so after the Rockettes we went back to the hotel for a much needed nap... well for me at least, I had a hard time keeping up all weekend, apparently I am not quite over the exhaustion phase of this pregancy yet :-)

Before the show we went to Tavern on the green for our pre show meal. It was a very neat atmosphere and the food was delicious.

Jersey Boys was REALLY good Dwayne and Vivian had already seen it but they thought it was just as good the second time around
After the show we went to the Startdust diner for some dessert. The place was PACKED. The waiters and waitresses are all aspiring Broadway actors/singers so they perform all day long, it's open 24/7. Many past waiters/waitresses have since made it to Broadway and they are all very talented, they are just waiting to be discovered. It was a lot of fun.
The next morning we headed over to ground zero. I was amazed at the size of the empty space the WTC buildings left behind it was kind of eary to be there but it was something I was really glad we got to see. Its all under construction still so it may be hard to tell what is what from my picture.
Afterward we went back to Little Italy for lunch at a great little place. We had a hard time choosing which place to eat because they all smelled so good from the street and there are SO many to choose from. We decided to go to a place Dwayne and Viv had been to before. It hit the SPOT! It's always a good sign when the bread is good at an Italian restaurant. That should be a pre-requisite. If your at an Italian place and the bread isn't good...there's your sign. I think I ate a whole loaf by myself it was so good.

We did some more shopping and went over to Grand Central Station before heading back for an afternoon nap... to get us rested up for our evening of fun!

Our pre dinner meal was at AJ Maxwell's were Dwayne got the biggest steak I have ever seen in my life. It had to be at least 28 ounces. The picture doesn't do it justice so I am not posting it.

After dinner we went to see Phanotom of the Opera...oh it was so good! It's difficult to compare Jersey boys and Phantom because they are very different but they were each so good!
After dinner we went to the famous "serendipity" for dessert. We had to wait an hour (at midnight mind you). But once they brought our desserts it was so worth the wait.

I got the hot fudge Sundae (no need to tell you how good it was I think the picture says it all)
The next morning, Sunday, we slept in and went to the Jets/Jags game to see Jordan play. It was a GREAT game that went down-to-the-last-second literally, but we pulled out with the win!

Jordan made his debut at tight end this game (they decided to try something new)

Family pic after the game
It was such a fun weekend and I had a blast hanging with Dwayne and Viv!
